Arrábida and Tróia beaches

The Arrábida lies west of the city; Tróia across the Sado. Five minutes by car separates them; an hour's knowledge decides whether you get the morning right.

Galapinhos

Bus 762 from Praça do Brasil in summer, or a 20-min walk from Figueirinha.

Figueirinha

Family beach, wide sand. Parking and bars on site.

Portinho da Arrábida

Sheltered bay with transparent water. Parking is tight; arrive early.

Galapos

Family beach between Figueirinha and Galapinhos, light services.

Creiro

Long sandy stretch next to Portinho, with a campsite.

Tróia-Mar

Atlantic side of the peninsula, miles of sand. Ferry from Terminal Sul.

Tróia-Rio

Estuary side, warm water, almost no waves.
