Galapinhos is the Arrábida postcard: a small white-sand cove ringed by limestone cliffs with pines down to the water. Voted best beach in Europe in 2017 and still the coast's reference.
No services: no bar, no rentals, lifeguards only in high season. Bring water and a sun umbrella. The beach is short and fills early — summer weekends, being settled by 10:30 matters.
Water is crystal-clear and usually calm (south-facing, sheltered from the north wind). Excellent snorkelling at the rocky points. The car park is small and unpaved; at peak summer the EN379-1 road is restricted to private cars — use the park's shuttle or the 762 bus.
