Lunch at Livramento Market

Inside the Livramento market, a handful of counter-service kitchens and shared tables serve plain lunches. The model is direct: grilled fish of the day, a side, a glass of house wine. Queues start around 12:15 and by 12:30 the best fish has gone.

Tasca do Isaías is the best-known — sardines, grilled choco, tuna steak. The market itself has two or three smaller counters with soup and plates of the day. Prices are fair — typically €10–15 for a main with sides.

The right lunch after a morning at the market, and arguably the shortest distance between boat and table anywhere in Portugal.
